the early 1970s, and sorted by street name. The museum library
also contains a current listing, and further notes relating to
many of Brixham's most significant properties. Our photograph

structure 5-7 mid C19 pair; 9-15 c1850 row of 3 houses;
Town Manor house. Crown property sold off C16. Prob
dating from then with late C18 rebuilding. Restorations
1913. Originally residence of the Gillard family; 21 c1830-1850;
23-25 C17/C18 pair of cottages or one house, recased and
altered midC19 & recently; 39 C17/18 building much
altered early C19. Small early C19 shop front; 47 "Verbena"
C16/C17 cottage rebuilt 1930s; Aylmer Fine c1820 villa,
built by Gillard for his daughter Mrs Chilcote. Also
crenellated former coach house for the villa; 63 C17/C18
origin altered early C19; 69-71 incl. 1 Summer Lane (was
67 Milton St) C16/C17 or poss earlier origin as passage
house, prob one house originally. Much altered early C19
